Midlife Transition Wellness Retreat in Bali

Escape ‘busyness’ to focus on the next chapter of your life

The stars were aligned when Donna Grace and Natalie Yan-Chatonsky met at a yoga and wellness retreat in Bali when they were both making life and work transitions. Fresh from accidentally landing into a portfolio career as a startup founder and consultant, Nat was taking a break from being a mum and founder life to re-energise and develop her life and work plans for the new year.

Amongst the many interesting yogis from around the world who would get together over dinner at the retreat, she connected with Donna who was at the nexus of her own mid-life and career change. With her beloved son recently graduating with honours from his double degree, she has been gradually transitioning to an enviable lifestyle as a global nomad. She runs a successful wellness business across Australia that allows her to periodically hang out in Bali and India. She fully immerses herself in the local communities, learning and doing things in new ways.

Donna is a testament to how a life of wellness leads to greater creativity and productivity. She is equally comfortable sipping a almond chai with her corporate clients in Melbourne, practicing yoga amongst the lush rice paddies of Bali or reconnecting with ancient teachings in India. She’s always got a few business, lifestyle and travel plans that she’s hatching up.

Nat and Donna quickly bonded over yoga, healthy organic food, lots of laughter and hours of deep conversations about how middle-aged Australians could be leading less stressful lives in their second half of their lives, especially now that they are likely to live close to 100.

Nat and Donna would like to share their uniquely bonding Bali wellness, cultural and intellectual experience with others seeking to prime themselves to new possibilities. They are currently seeking expressions of interest for a 5 day retreat that they will co-facilitate and create a unique travel experience for those who are wanting to take time to think, rest and connect.

What to expect:

  • Daily accessible yoga and meditation sessions

  • Healthy, yummy local food, freshly grown just minutes before the meal.

  • Thought-provoking and meaningful discussions with others who are also reflecting what a long, healthy happy life can look like for them

  • Visits to the most stunning and pristine parts of Bali that few tourists know about
